One day in 2014, as I walked around in this Doll and Teddy bear show at the local fair Grounds. there were tables of dolls and teddy bear. And I stopped here and there to show off my original Teddy Roosevelt bear. When this lady by the name of Celia Baham stopped me and wanted to take a good look at my old bear. So I allowed her to do this. When she was done looking at my bear she said to me, " It is an Ideal bear alright, You have the million dollar bear," "What are you going to do with it" I then told her, This bear belongs in the Smithsonian Institute. She replied by saying" They will just want you to donate him. " As she walked away, she said. She would be watching the television for the news on my bear going public. So later that day I went home to look up this lady on the web. And she is the number one Doctor for Bears and buds online magazine. She is very well respected for her forty years of experience restoring antique teddy bears. She knows her bears alright.

He was created to stand upright. And now being one hundred and twenty one years later . My bear with help stands upright very good for its age.
I have been in antiques and collectibles all my life. Sense the age of five years old, my father took me into Goodwill's in San Francisco on a regular bases. I then took an interest in the glass cases full of oddities. In my working career , I put in years as a Q.A Quality Assurance Inspector in several machine shops. and can say I was a very good Q.A inspector. So all my life I had a good eye for details. and in Antiques we pay attention to the smallest details. So for the many past years of my research on this old bear of mine researching this web. I have seen other early teddy bear's of Morris Michtom. Teddy Bear's hand made by the Michtom's before they founded The Ideal Novelty and Toy co. Before the famous Smithsonian bear was created. these early hand made bear's were called Morris bear's back in the day. Today we refer to every teddy bear made by the Ideal Toy Co. as Ideal bear's. But there is a difference. The early teddy bear's are indeed very rare. But they are out there. They are all over the world. Morris Michtom bear's in the very early year's had very stiff body parts. Now because of my many year's of intense research on this web. I have learned many things that are not known in today's world. And I will say that I only researched this subject for many year's because I have the original bear. So far I have the only original teddy bear in the world. I look every week on this computer for similar examples of my old bear. I will do this until I die. I am hooked on this special bear of mine. He belong's in the Smithsonian Institute. I do write them but no reply. This special bear of mine belongs in a great museum for the world to see and appreciate. Being, so far the earliest American teddy bear in existence today.
In 1999 when I bought this unique bear at a yard sale in San Ramon, Ca. This old bear was just laying on a big box of dark, black men's suits. The elderly ladies there seemed to have no interest in the old bear. They just said two-dollars. So I quickly paid for the bear. A old bear with such a strange face, well I just had to have it. That day I quickly began my intense research on the bear's face. To find out who the maker was. Well ten years went by and then I began to look for compatible bear's with the same body style. And I read that early Morris Michtom bear's had this drumstick look for their early teddy bear's. Next this you know I was reading as much as I could about the famous Smithsonian bear. Then too many things begin to come together. Like early Morris Michtom bears stood upright in the window of his store with a sign next to it,\. Saying Teddy's bear for sale. And the teddy bear's sold so quickly. Causing a frenzy to the local people of Brooklyn. One day I took my bear over to the dinning room table. Just to see if this bear of mine could stand up. Because My bear had flat feet, very stiff body parts fully jointed. Just the way this computer describes very early Michtom bears. And sure enough my old bear stood upright. I then went into shock. I was amazed.
